Convenings
Relationships drive everything we do as a foundation, and we all know how valuable the power of connection can be. The VNA Foundation organizes both formal and informal convenings throughout the year, to forge greater understanding and build trust between grant partners, our foundation’s Board and staff, and other members of our community.
Our regular convenings include our popular Reporting Conversations, held virtually with all our grantee partners each year, and our annual F. Lee Mangan CommUNITY Celebration. We also organize timely gatherings to reflect on shared learnings, like our Inclusion Grant Sharing Session. VNAF is proud to support the Bucks-Mont Collaborative through our Kitty Fitzgerald Memorial Fund, a $250,000 multi-year grant that supports the Collaborative’s ongoing training, capacity-building and networking opportunities for nonprofit providers in the greater North Penn region.
F. Lee Mangan CommUNITY Celebration
Each year, the VNA Foundation of Greater North Penn convenes leaders from the nonprofit health and human service sector to share time and thoughtful conversation about topics that affect our North Penn region, building relationships, encouraging synergy and driving collective action. This community gathering was originally conceived by F. Lee Mangan, visionary leader and founding Board President of the VNA Foundation of Greater North Penn, with the first event taking place in 2015. In the wake of Lee’s passing in 2020, the annual event was renamed in his honor, and celebrates Lee’s dedication to bringing people together to serve North Penn. I wanted to send a note of thanks for the VNA breakfast that I was able to attend for the first time this year. As I mentioned in person, the use of table questions to get the networking started was extremely helpful and I met several folks that day and learned about new organizations. In fact, next week I am having lunch with Shania from Along the Way. Thank you, the Board and Joanne for a wonderful event. Well done! Gratefully
Inclusion Grant Sharing Session
At the conclusion of VNA Foundation’s multi-year, $640,000 Inclusion Grant program in 2024, the foundation brought together dozens of the program’s participants to join in a facilitated sharing session to highlight accomplishments, problem-solve persistent challenges, and cultivate relevant partnerships to fulfill the goal of creating greater access to health and human services for people of color, immigrants and refugees, and English Language Learners in the greater North Penn region. Check out the images and compilation video from this dynamic session.
