What do you love about the greater North Penn region?

Having lived here most of my life, I have often seen and greatly appreciate how civic organizations, faith communities, and individuals step up to help neighbors in crisis.

What other roles, personal and/or professional, have you played that help inform your Board service?

I was raised with my parents’ example of caring for neighbors. Many past and current roles have broadened my understanding of community needs. Professionally, I served as Coordinator for Bucks-Mont Collaborative (an association of health and human services nonprofit organizations); Director (and co-creator) of Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Community Leadership Institute; Vice President for Strategic Planning and Communication for Moyer Packing Company, an organization with an ethnically diverse workforce. Volunteer roles have included: Generations of Indian Valley Board Chair (and current board member); Harleysville Rotary President; Lansdale Jaycee Women President; Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce Board Member; International Festival Committee Member in its early years; Co-Facilitator for a veterans’ healing circle.
 

What has been the most meaningful part of your connection to the VNA Foundation?

Serving on the Grants Committee has introduced me to a number of nonprofits that I did not know as well. It enhanced my appreciation for these community treasures, their dedicated leadership, and their stewardship of hard-to-come-by funding.
