What do you love about the greater North Penn region?

I love how caring the people are in the North Penn Community. They don’t just care about themselves and their family, they care about their neighbors, and their neighbors’ neighbors and the neighboring community. The rate of volunteerism in North Penn is very high and very well used by our community’s non-profit organizations.

What other roles, personal and/or professional, have you played that help inform your Board service?

The roles that most informed my board service were my former ones as President of the Bucks-Mont Collaborative for Health and Human Services, my role as Treasurer of Hosting Solutions and Library Consulting, and my current position as Director of the Wissahickon Valley Public Library. Those roles taught me what a board member’s role and responsibilities entail. They helped me look towards and plan for the future. My time with the Collaborative really made me aware of the needs in the community and who was doing the work to help those in need.

What has been the most meaningful part of your connection to the VNA Foundation?

Visiting the organizations that the VNA of Greater North Penn funds and listening to their and their clients’ stories has been very meaningful. I would never have known the extent of the resilience of the people and the organizations that we help in this time of unparalleled need.
