ADAPTING DURING UNPRECEDENTED TIMES
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and sharp economic downturn in early 2020, the VNA Foundation swiftly pivoted our grantmaking to meet the most pressing community needs. We converted all Spring 2020 grants to General Operating support, issued grant decisions and awards almost 3-months ahead of schedule, and relaxed reporting requirements in recognition of the massive impact the pandemic had on our grantee partners.
In Spring, 2020, as the pandemic struck, the VNA Foundation distributed $300,000 in grants and removed restrictions from applications seeking project support so all funding could be used for General Operating:
