Focus on Behavioral Health

The VNA Foundation of Greater North Penn provides a Spring and a Fall grant cycle each year to support local nonprofit organizations having the capacity to strengthen lives and address significant needs, thus building stronger and healthier communities in this region for generations to come. As a community health foundation, the VNA Foundation wishes to focus its support on a major unmet healthcare need within this North Penn region by choosing to support projects for the 2017 Spring Grant Cycle which will address local behavioral health concerns.

Interested nonprofit organizations may go online to the VNA Foundation’s website, at www.npvnafoundation.org for additional information after December 16, 2016 to read more about applying online for the Spring 2017 Behavioral Health grants, or call the VNA Foundation office to discuss potential projects at 215-847-4401. All applications must be submitted online, and the grant application process begins with a Letter of Intent (LOI), submitted online between January 16, 2017 and February 10, 2017. The LOI will require specific goals to be defined under the grant request and should focus on addressing an aspect of behavioral /mental health, with positive outcomes projected for individuals and families within the North Penn region of Montgomery County. While drug and alcohol issues, or needs within the developmentally disabled community, may also be included as part of the goals and objectives addressed within the LOI, a substantive approach to address behavioral / mental health concerns should be the focus for any organization applying for this 2017 Spring Grant cycle.

All LOI requests will be reviewed after the February 10, 2017 deadline, and only those successful organizations approved to complete an entire application will move ahead in the grant process for this grant cycle. Applicants invited to complete an entire application, may complete this online between March 20 and April 21, 2017. Successful grantees will be notified in June, and checks will be awarded to successful grantees prior to June 30, 2017. Grants will be available to cover a twelve-month period, with a six-month progress report, a site visit, and a final report required as part of the grant agreement.

The VNA Foundation of Greater North Penn is delighted to partner with community organizations to impact the behavioral health needs that exist within this region. Please contact the VNA Foundation office at 215-847-4401 with any questions related to the 2017 Spring Grants for Behavioral Health.
